La face A vous propose Madame, bijou franco-érotique 80’s signé Éric Vincent suivi d’un edit sensuel et tropical du morceau Amazoniaque d’Yves Simon revu et corrigé par Le duo La Décadanse. La face B dévoile un track dont on ne connaît que le titre, The Mongol Raid, ovni dancefloor à 100 bpm édité par Ygalove & Barnes pour finir sur une bombe Afrobeat “Le Temps est Long” de Tchamy Patterson.

D’origine camerounaise, Tchamy Patterson a écrit de nombreux tubes disco-funk à la fin des années 70, parus aussi bien sur le label Disques Espérance que sur sa propre structure, Moderato. C’est dans ce cadre qu’avant de s’établir à Grenoble, il compose en compagnie de Jacky Arconte (Kaoma, Malinga Five) Le Temps Est Long à Annecy. Missile afrobeat imparable au groove disco obsédant, le morceau préfigure les boucles technoïdes qui vont bientôt déferler sur les dancefloors du monde entier. Pas étonnant qu’Albion et tant d’autres l’aient mixé dans leurs sets !

Hailing from Cameroon, Tchamy Patterson produced a large amount of funky Afro disco hits during the 70s, all of which were released either on the Parisian label Disques Espérances or on his own imprint, Moderato. He then settled down in Grenoble where he kept working with multi-instrumentalist Jacky Arconte. Written by the duo in Annecy, Le Temps est Long comes out as an Afrobeat banger powered by a rather obsessive disco groove, and definitely foreshadows the techno loops that were soon to take over the clubs in a landslide. No wonder Albion and many others DJ acts have been spinning this record all over the global dancefloor.
